I've commented on the Jobbing doctor's site, but thought it was worth 'fessing up to it here. I've found something positive within Darzi's review.
It's the emphasis on a "clinically driven" service. Not a politically driven. Not a managerially driven. Not even a patient driven.
Clinically driven. Deliver on that and the world will be a better place.

The anxiety I have is that the Darzi review is a smokescreen for the more pernicious aspects of privatisation (aPMS practices; foundation trusts) and control (the GMC have given a platform to Dr Neil Bacon and his execrable website).
If it were clinically driven, then you would expect the clinicians to have a say in how things will be run. I would love Lord Darzi to live up to his rhetoric.
Experience suggests he is a frontman.

Exactly. Really, yes, that is exactly how I would expect things to work.
So, let us see if Lord Darzi is indeed a man of quality . . .
Frontman? I would say puppet of the government dangled for propaganda purposes
